baby kicks

most of the movement i’ve felt from within so far has been what i would imagine are rather large position changes, they take a couple of minutes and it kind of fells like someone is stirring my guts around. yesterday i was sitting in a chair and feeling some very slight movements, they were so tiny i thought they must be digestion but i lifted up my shirt and watched my belly for a while until i felt it again, sure enough i saw it move ever so slightly.  i’m guessing that this is her tiny little foot kicking.  she’s still so small in there i can barely feel it, actually i think i have to be sitting perfectly still to even be aware that it’s happening and although i can feel it from the inside and also see it, i can’t feel it with my hand yet, so my husband can’t feel it yet either.  i don’t think he’d be able to see it yet either since my belly just moves a little tiny bit, i think it’s easier for me to see since i know when to look.  he has been DYING to be able to feel the baby move so i hope he can soon.  he all ready has a daughter but when her mother was pregnant with her she wanted nothing to do with him so he missed all the pregnancy stuff and has always been super excited to be able to experience it this time around.

i think my little angel annabel has an infection her mouth, it does not smell good (i know, gross) so i’m taking her to the vet on wednesday after work.  her breed is notorious for having bad teeth.  i’m hoping she doesn’t have to get a tooth pulled or something because the last time i had her teeth cleaned and one pulled it cost over $300, ouch.  but… i know having any sort of mouth pain myself is a nightmare and i imagine it’s not much better for her, so, to the vet we go!!

  • you’ll be feeling them for yourself soon!

  • oh oh oh, so exciting that there is kicking going on inside you! And I hope Annabel is OK, we have a dog with teeth issues too….stinky stuff.

  • that is so incredibly exciting! And you actually saw it too??? that’s a trip.

  • yeah i saw it, but just barely, you’ll see it too!

  • isn’t it the most amazing wonderful thing….it makes me giggle everytime i feel and see it, like a secret joke. J. loves to see it, he is amazed….we think bebe girl may be a prima ballerina with those strong legs.
    so happy for you!!

  • Ahhhh! I remember those days. Trust me it will be very obvious before you know it. My daughter used to kick me in my ribs …. it hurt so bad.

To answer your question …. I’m not doing IVF this round since both tubes are open and the ovaries are good. She says one is stuck near the back of my uterus, but she thinks it shouldn’t be a problem from where it’s positioned.

If this round of gonadotropins doesn’t do the trick, I’m gonna do a few more rounds before moving on to IVF. I guess I’m taking baby steps …. clomid, injectables, then IVF if all else fails.

  • Wow. How thrilling to be able to feel the baby moving. And I bet DH is foaming at the mouth to feel it himself. It will happen sooner than you think!

  • YEAH! I am finally feeling it, too. Isn’t it the best?

    BTW-I’m leaving you a blog award. :-)

  • YAY! So exciting to feel those first movements! That was the best feeling in the world
