ok, there’s two things people say about my infertility issues that drive me crazy. the first thing is “it will happen when it’s meant to happen.” honestly, it’s better to just say nothing. the second thing is “you will get pregnant as soon as you stop trying.” this one is the worst, so many people say it and i just want to say to them “really? thank-you so much! why didn’t i think of that??? such an easy fix! stop trying and i’ll be pregnant!” let me just say that when you are having infertility issues you never just stop trying. you might stop spending your life’s savings on assisted reproductive technologies, but you will forever be counting cycle days and testing for ovulation. what people need when they talk to you about their infertility issues is a kind ear, not useless advice.

AMEN to that! Nothing pisses me off more than hearing either of those ridiculous statements. What do people expect when they say these things? Are they waiting for us to smack our forheads and say “duh, why didn’t I think of that! I’ve been spending thousands needlessly”.
